Family Support

For more than 15 years, Aleeza Granote has devoted herself to supporting children and families facing cancer. Guided by the belief that no family should feel alone during illness, she founded Care Card Connection in 2010 to send handwritten messages of encouragement to patients undergoing treatment.

What began as a small effort has grown into a nationwide network of 400 volunteers who have created more than 90,000 cards. Aleeza later expanded the organization to include care packages and outings designed to bring comfort and joy to families during difficult moments. She also volunteers with eight St. Louis organizations serving children with serious illnesses, helping connect families with resources, support and community. Across every role, Aleeza identifies unmet needs, strengthens programs and inspires others.
