Buffy Dillon

Health & Education
Buffy Dillon founded the Dwann Dillon Colon Cancer Foundation in 2014 in honor of her deceased husband who died of colon cancer at the age of 39 years old. They were very active in the community together as salon owners, mentors, and more, sponsoring an annual school supplies giveaway for three years before Dwann’s passing. Buffy promised Dwann that she would continue what they started together and never let the world forget his name.
Her journey of volunteerism started in 2010, and being consistent and with God’s guidance, it will continue. Providing colon cancer awareness in the community – and assistance and resources to families affected by colon cancer – are our guiding principles, while also encouraging checkups and regular doctor visits. DDF has yearly events, but in addition, we collaborate and volunteer with other organizations to support their causes. Buffy currently serves on the boards of CCCP (PECaD) and PEAB (PECGS), both at Washington University, and is a member of Kiwanis Club of Greater Spanish Lake. Buffy continues to give wherever her heart leads, and she believes that making a positive impact in someone’s life can make a difference in the world.
