Congratulations to Woman of Achievement Darlene Roy (Class of 2003)! 👏 It’s been a wonderful start of the year for her, and we want to share the great news. Most recently, Darlene was selected as the CASA Board Member of the Year by Illinois State Board of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). She gave her acceptance speech during CASA’s Virtual Annual State Conference. (Darlene has served on the CASA board for 20 years!) Earlier this year, Darlene was asked for the second year to be the guest poet for the Southwestern Illinois Regional Poetry Out Loud Contest, hosted virtually by Southwestern Illinois College during Black History Month.
