Creative Philanthropy

Jennifer Hillman is passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth and young adults. In 2015 Jennifer (Tom) Hillman established the Hillman Scholars program to provide gap funding for first generation college students coming out of College Bound St. Louis. Jennifer mentors and supports 49 students, as well as creating special programs to enhance their college journey. In 2016, Jennifer was instrumental in bringing WE Schools to Missouri, a global service-learning program for K through 12th graders. Missouri now has over 200 WE School groups with youth learning how to find their voice and become change agents, locally and globally. As a graduate of Washington University School of Fine Arts, Jennifer continues her engagement at the University through the Brown School and student support. In addition she has been active supporting arts education through her involvement with COCA. Her support of the Siteman Cancer Center includes co-chairing their major fundraising event in 2017, which raised over 3 million dollars for cancer research.
