Judge Draper is an Associate Circuit Judge in St. Louis County and is married to Judge George Draper, Missouri Supreme Court Judge and has one daughter, Chelsea Draper who is an Assistant Attorney General.
She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her J. D. from Howard University School of Law (Law Journal). She was Law Clerk to Federal District Court Judge Clyde S. Cahill; St. Louis Assistant Circuit Attorney, the first female General Counsel to the Missouri Department of Corrections; Municipal Judge; Board of Directors: St. Louis Transitional Hope House; St. Louis Chapter of Links. Missouri Asian American Bar Association (Founder); Missouri Supreme Court Commission on Racial & Ethnic Fairness. Judge Draper formed a Judges Diversity & Inclusion Committee in 2017 implementing discussion panels on unconscious bias and along with the National Judicial College and The Dred Scott Heritage Foundation; the Judges Committee will present a program at Washington University Law School, July, 2018 featuring the descendants of: Dred Scott, Blow family (owners of Dred Scott), Judge Taney (author of Dred Scott decision); Confederate President Jefferson Davis and President Thomas Jefferson.
