Phyllis Weber
Lifetime Service
Phyllis Weber and four other craftswomen founded Craft Alliance 60 years ago. Since then, it has grown into a gallery and shop with classes, studios and outreach to area high schools. She was an original member of the board of Great Rivers Greenway, helping to establish its initial rules and procedures. She has volunteered at Missouri Botanical Garden, where she worked outdoors in the summers; The Bridge, a drop-in center for the unhoused, where she also served on the board; and Covenant House, a residence for homeless youth. Phyllis is active in a number of boards and commissions in University City, and recently participated in a podcast encouraging other retirees to live active lives.
