Women’s Empowerment

During her 36-year career with the St. Louis Public Schools, Susan was engaged in career and college planning with the schools and the business community through the Division of Career Education.

Susan leadership roles include: National Council of Jewish Women; St. Louis Community Credit Union; Prosperity Connection; Michael K. Thomas Scholarship Fund; George Warren Brown School of Public Health advisory council member; Collegiate Medical and Bioscience Magnet High School; and the National Career Academy Coalition.

Susan’s leadership development in others includes: co-founding the CORO Women in Leadership Alumnae; serving as a Women in Leadership trainer; creating women’s training programs for NCJW; helping to create Prosperity Connection; designing targeted opportunities for high school females such as the Women of Tomorrow Plan Today seminars for juniors, the first SLPS internship program and the Clyde C. Miller Career Academy and the Collegiate Medical and Bioscience Schools; and mentoring a host of young women in their career and personal development.
