What began as a small effort to send handwritten messages of encouragement to patients undergoing treatment has grown into a nationwide network of 400 volunteers who have created more than 90,000 cards!
Aleeza Granote, a 2026 Woman of Achievement honored for Family Support, founded Care Card Connection in 2010 and has spent more than 15 years supporting children and families facing cancer.
Her volunteer work also extends to eight St. Louis organizations serving children with serious illnesses, helping connect families with resources and support.
